Master of Science in Financial Technology Analytics
I'm Doug Chingosho, a graduate student pursuing an MS in Business Analytics with a concentration in Financial Technology Analytics at Washington University in St. Louis, Olin Business School. I'm passionate about leveraging data science and quantitative analysis to solve complex financial problems and drive strategic decision-making.
With over 5 years of experience in financial services, I've developed a strong foundation in risk management, data administration, and team leadership. My journey from managing pension fund assets to pursuing advanced analytics reflects my commitment to continuous learning and excellence.
I believe data should tell stories that drive meaningful business decisions. Whether it's optimizing portfolio allocations, time series analysis (both predictive and prescriptive). I'm motivated by creating tangible value through analytics.
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.", Benjamin Franklin The beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you. Growth also happens outside comfort zones. I actively pursue new skills and embrace challenging problems.
"It is better to have a great team than a team of greats.", Simon Sinek. This explains why PSG failed to win UEFA Champions League with Lionel Messi, Neymar Junior and Mbappe, all in their prime. Teamwork, to me, is about empowering each other to succeed.
Community doesnt have to be a thousand people who live in a neighbourhood. โWhat you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.โ Jane Goodall The world is such a better place when we look out for each other because noone else will.
Beyond all this, when I'm not crunching numbers and stuff, some of my interests are:
An international honor society for accounting, finance and information systems students attending universities
Promoting African business perspectives and networking
Representing graduate students interests
Supporting and mentoring incoming students
Assist with planning and coordination of university athletic events
I'm always interested in discussing finance, data analytics, fintech opportunities, or just connecting with fellow professionals. Feel free to reach out!
